ANCHOR SCRIPTURE
Jeremiah 1:11–12 (KJV)
“Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree. Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.”
FOCUS THOUGHT
Take your eyes off your present circumstances and put your eyes on the promises of God. What you can see through the Word of God, you can believe God to perform.
God asked Jeremiah a powerful question: “What seest thou?”
Jeremiah’s answer mattered.
God told him, “Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.”
Your present circumstances may be speaking loudly, but they do not have the final word. Stop allowing your problem to dominate your vision. Get your eyes on what God has said!
In Genesis 13:14–15, God told Abraham to lift up his eyes and look northward, southward, eastward and westward. God connected Abraham’s seeing with what He was giving him.
So, what are you looking at?
Are you constantly looking at the problem, the delay, the opposition and what appears impossible? Or are you looking at the promise?
Isaiah 2:1 speaks of “the word that Isaiah...saw.” That is powerful! There is a dimension where the Word becomes your vision. You no longer see yourself merely through your circumstances; you begin to see your life through what God has spoken.
This is the month of the supernatural. Take your eyes off what circumstances are saying and put them on what God has promised.
Look unto Jesus. Look into the Word. See your future through the eyes of faith.
Elizabeth said concerning Mary, “Blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord” (Luke 1:45 KJV).
There shall be a performance!
God is watching over His Word. Therefore, hold on to that Word until what God has said becomes bigger in your vision than what your circumstances are saying.
FAITH DECLARATION
I take my eyes off my problems and fix my eyes on Jesus and His Word. I choose to see what God says concerning me. His promises determine my expectation. I believe His Word, and there shall be a performance of everything He has spoken concerning my life, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
PRAYER
Father, open the eyes of my understanding. Help me to see beyond my present circumstances and to see my life through Your Word. Let every negative picture created by fear, delay and adversity be replaced by the picture of Your promises. I believe Your Word, and I receive its manifestation in my life, in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen!
TODAY’S ACTION
What do you see? Find one promise from God’s Word concerning the situation you are facing. Read it, meditate on it, speak it, and deliberately allow that promise—not the problem—to become the picture you carry.
