Forget the Past. Look Forward. Everything Is Going to Be All Right.

Principal Scripture — Philippians 3:13 NLT

“No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead.”

Beloved, today I came to comfort you, encourage you, and congratulate you.

Maybe you made some mistakes. Maybe you started a business and it didn’t work out. Maybe a relationship failed. Maybe you lost money. Maybe you trusted the wrong person. Maybe you made decisions you wish you could change.

DON’T ALLOW YOUR PAST TO STOP YOUR FUTURE.

I want you to begin looking at some of those experiences differently. Your mistakes can become tuition you paid in the university of life.

You went through the experience. You paid the price. You learned the lesson. You gained wisdom. So instead of continuing to condemn yourself, take the wisdom and move forward.

CONGRATULATIONS — YOU GRADUATED!

Don’t keep taking the same class emotionally. Don’t keep replaying yesterday. Ask yourself: “WHAT DID I LEARN?” Take the wisdom from the experience and MOVE FORWARD.

You are wiser now. You are stronger now. You know things today that you didn’t know then. And I believe you’re going to make better decisions because of what you’ve learned.

YOUR RACE IS NOT OVER!

Philippians 3:14 NLT

“I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.”

Abraham was seventy-five when he stepped into a new season of God’s calling. Moses was eighty when he stood before Pharaoh. So don’t tell yourself that it is too late.

IF YOU ARE STILL BREATHING, GOD IS NOT FINISHED WITH YOU!

There is still something ahead of you. There are still doors to enter. There are still ideas to discover. There are still people to help. There are still dreams to fulfill. There is still an assignment carrying your name.

FORGET WHAT IS BEHIND YOU. LOOK FORWARD TO WHAT LIES AHEAD.

NOW, WHAT DO YOU DO ABOUT WORRY?

After leaving yesterday behind, don’t start worrying about tomorrow.

Philippians 4:6 NLT

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.”

That’s your instruction for today. DON’T WORRY — PRAY. Turn your worry into prayer. Tell God what you want. Tell Him what you need. And then thank Him for everything He has already done.

Beloved, I believe in you. But above everything else, believe God. EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE ALL RIGHT.

TODAY’S FAITH ACTION

Think about one mistake, disappointment, or failure that has been troubling you. Ask yourself: “WHAT DID THIS EXPERIENCE TEACH ME?” Write down the lesson. Thank God for the wisdom.

Then declare: “I HAVE LEARNED THE LESSON. I HAVE GRADUATED FROM THIS CLASS. I FORGET WHAT IS BEHIND ME, AND I LOOK FORWARD TO WHAT LIES AHEAD!” Then tell God exactly what you want for your future.

PROPHETIC PRAYER

Father, in the mighty Name of Jesus, I pray for everyone receiving this word today. Comfort their hearts. Remove regret, condemnation, fear, and anxiety. Give them wisdom from everything they have experienced.

I declare: Your past will not stop your future! You will rise again. You will build again. You will dream again. You will make better decisions. You will not repeat yesterday’s mistakes. Your experience will become wisdom. Your pain will not be wasted. And your best days are still ahead of you.

EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE ALL RIGHT!
