Make Pleasing God Your Passion

“You are my dearly loved Son, and you bring me great joy.” — Mark 1:11 NLT

Beloved, one of the greatest desires you can ever develop is the desire to please God. Throughout Scripture, we see that God takes pleasure in obedience, worship, faith, surrender, and lives that are yielded to Him.

When Jesus came out of the water at His baptism, the Father openly testified concerning Him: “You are my dearly loved Son, and you bring me great joy.” What a testimony. Imagine the Father looking at your life and saying, “You bring Me great joy.” That should become one of the greatest passions of your life.

Jesus said in John 8:29 NLT, “And the one who sent me is with me—he has not deserted me. For I always do what pleases him.” Jesus lived with one consuming desire: to please the Father.

He did not live merely to satisfy people. He did not live merely to pursue personal ambition. He lived to fulfill the will of the One who sent Him.

John 5:19–20 reveals another powerful secret: Jesus did what He saw the Father doing, and the Father showed Him what He was doing. This is supernatural living.

When you walk closely with God, He can show you things. He can show you what to do and what not to do. He can give you divine strategy. He can reveal opportunities. He can give you wisdom concerning your family, business, ministry, relationships, and future.

“The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us…” — Deuteronomy 29:29

ONE DIVINE REVELATION CAN CHANGE THE DIRECTION OF YOUR LIFE.

Jesus also said in John 12:49–50 that He did not speak on His own authority. The Father instructed Him what to say and how to say it. God is interested not only in what you do, but also in how you do it.

Your words can please Him. Your decisions can please Him. Your obedience can please Him. Your stewardship can please Him. Your treatment of people can please Him. Your worship can please Him. Your work can please Him. Your life can become a pleasing offering before God.

In John 17:4, Jesus said that He had glorified the Father by finishing the work He was given to do. Beloved, you are not on earth accidentally. There is an assignment attached to your life.

TODAY’S FAITH ACTION

Take a few quiet minutes today and ask: “Father, what would You have me do today that will bring You great joy?” Write down what He places in your heart that agrees with His Word. Then obey. Do not postpone obedience. Do not argue with instruction. Do not allow fear to silence what God is showing you. MAKE PLEASING GOD YOUR PASSION.

PRAYER & PROPHETIC DECLARATION

Father, in the Name of Jesus, give us hearts that desire to please You. Holy Spirit, show us what to do. Show us what to say. Reveal divine secrets and strategies to us. Give us wisdom for every decision. Give us grace to obey quickly. Give us strength to finish the assignment You have placed upon our lives.

I declare over you today: YOU WILL HEAR GOD. YOU WILL SEE WHAT HE IS SHOWING YOU. YOU WILL RECEIVE DIVINE DIRECTION. YOU WILL OBEY HIS INSTRUCTION. YOU WILL FINISH YOUR ASSIGNMENT.

May your life become a pleasing aroma before the Lord, and may heaven testify concerning you: “YOU BRING ME GREAT JOY.” In Jesus’ mighty Name, Amen.
