KEEP WHAT GOD GAVE YOU

Don't Surrender What Heaven Has Put in Your Hands

Principal Scripture — Judges 11:24 KJV

Wilt not thou possess that which Chemosh thy god giveth thee to possess? So whomsoever the LORD our God shall drive out from before us, them will we possess.

Beloved, there are some things God has given you that you must learn to keep. Jephthah made an extraordinary declaration: what the LORD our God has given us, we intend to possess.

It takes faith to receive from God, but it also takes wisdom, discipline, and spiritual tenacity to keep what God has given you. Jesus said in John 10:10 that the thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy. A thief does not steal what belongs to him. He comes after something that belongs to you.

KNOW WHAT GOD HAS GIVEN YOU

You cannot confidently possess what you do not know belongs to you. This is why the Word of God matters. Second Corinthians 1:20 NIV teaches that no matter how many promises God has made, they are Yes in Christ. Your confidence is not built merely upon what you desire; it is built upon what God has said.

Find the promise. Know the promise. Believe the promise. Stand upon the promise. When God's Word settles the question, don't allow circumstances to reopen the argument.

HOLD FAST

Revelation 3:11 says, Hold fast what you have. If God gave you peace, guard your peace. If God restored your joy, protect your joy. If God gave you a marriage, cultivate it. If God entrusted children to you, raise them with wisdom. If God restored your health, care responsibly for your body. If God gave you resources, steward them wisely. If God gave you an opportunity, don't treat it casually. If God gave you an assignment, stay faithful to it.

James 4:7 says to submit to God and resist the devil. Submission and resistance belong together. You submit to God, and you resist whatever contradicts His will and Word.

POSSESS YOUR POSSESSIONS

Obadiah 17 KJV declares that the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions. Don't spend your life looking over the fence at somebody else's portion. Celebrate them. Bless them. Then recognize what God has placed in your own hands.

There is grace in your assignment. There is purpose in your calling. There is treasure in what God has entrusted to you. Receive it. Develop it. Steward it. Protect it. And keep it.

TODAY'S FAITH ACTION

Identify three things God has already entrusted to you that require greater stewardship. Ask: What must I do differently to faithfully keep what God has given me? Then act on at least one answer today.

PRAYER & PROPHETIC DECLARATION

Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, I pray for everyone receiving this word. According to Revelation 3:11, give them grace to hold fast what they have. Where peace has been under attack, I speak the peace of Christ over their minds and homes. Where joy has been attacked by discouragement, let the joy of the Lord rise again.

Where marriages and families are under pressure, release wisdom, humility, forgiveness, patience, and supernatural grace. Where health has been restored, give wisdom and discipline for faithful stewardship. Where resources have entered their hands, deliver them from waste, impulsiveness, wrong decisions, and financial carelessness. Give them wisdom to preserve and deploy those resources according to Your purpose.

Where You have given an assignment, silence the voices of distraction and discouragement. Give them courage to remain faithful. According to James 4:7, as they submit themselves to You, give them strength to resist everything that comes to steal, kill, and destroy.

According to Obadiah 17: LET THEM POSSESS THEIR POSSESSIONS! I declare: You will not carelessly lose what God has entrusted to you. Your peace will be guarded. Your joy will be guarded. Your family will be stewarded with wisdom. Your calling will not be abandoned. Your God-given opportunities will not be wasted. Your resources will be handled with wisdom.

HOLD FAST. POSSESS YOUR POSSESSIONS. KEEP WHAT GOD GAVE YOU! In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
