THE NEXT TIME YOU LOOK, IT WILL NOT BE THERE!

Take Your Eyes Off the Mountain and Look to Jesus

Mark 16:3–4 KJV

“And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre? And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great.”

Beloved, I have a word for you today. That problem that has been bothering you… That mountain that has looked so terrible… That situation that has troubled your heart… That burden that has caused you sleepless nights… THE NEXT TIME YOU LOOK, IT WILL NOT BE THERE! Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome were going to the tomb of Jesus. As they approached, one question occupied their minds: “Who shall roll us away the stone?” The Bible says the stone was very great. They could see the problem. They knew their limitations. They didn't know how the obstacle would be removed. But something powerful happened: AND WHEN THEY LOOKED… the stone was already rolled away! They were worrying about a problem that God had already handled. GOD CAN BE WORKING ON SOMETHING YOU ARE STILL WORRYING ABOUT. You may not see the movement yet. You may not know how it will happen. You may not know who God will use. But don't allow today's mountain to become tomorrow's expectation. Hebrews 12:2 tells us to look unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith. LOOK TO JESUS! Look to His Word. Look to His faithfulness. Look to His finished work. Look to His power. You don't have to know how the stone will move before you trust the God who can move it. Jesus said: “HAVE FAITH IN GOD.” — MARK 11:22 KJV Your faith is not in circumstances. Your faith is not in positive thinking. Your faith is not in your own ability. YOUR FAITH IS IN GOD! STOP MAGNIFYING THE MOUNTAIN. START MAGNIFYING YOUR GOD.

TODAY'S FAITH ACTION

Write down the one “great stone” that has occupied too much of your attention. Underneath it write: HAVE FAITH IN GOD — MARK 11:22. Then spend 15 minutes worshipping, praying and thanking God. Turn your attention away from rehearsing the problem and deliberately look to Jesus.

PRAYER & PROPHETIC DECLARATION

Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, I pray for the person reading this right now. You know their stone. You know their mountain. You know the financial pressure, the family situation, the business challenge, the closed door and everything that has troubled their heart. Father, turn their eyes toward Jesus! I speak to every mountain standing against the purpose of God for your life: MOUNTAIN, MOVE IN THE NAME OF JESUS! Let doors open! Let wisdom come! Let confusion clear! Let oppressive burdens break! Let divine provision come! Let impossible-looking situations turn around according to the purposes of God! I declare over you: YOU WILL NOT SPEND YOUR LIFE STANDING BEFORE THAT STONE! FEAR WILL NOT GOVERN YOU! ANXIETY WILL NOT GOVERN YOU! YOU WILL HAVE FAITH IN GOD! And when you look again, may you discover that God has already been working where your eyes could not see. THE STONE WAS VERY GREAT—BUT IT WAS ROLLED AWAY! Receive peace. Receive wisdom. Receive clarity. Receive strength. In Jesus' mighty name! Amen and amen!
